Hace 2 días · The House of Lords Act 1999 reduced but did not eliminate hereditary peers. Since a financial crisis of 2007–2008, a Conservative and Liberal Democrat coalition launched a programme of "austerity" cuts, and cemented their term in the Fixed-term Parliaments Act 2011.
