  1. If Reynolds' previous novel, The Prefect, was a police procedural set in space, House of Suns is a tale of family intrigue and betrayal. The family concerned is the Gentian clan, otherwise known as the House of Flowers. Six million years before, the founder of the Gentian line had herself cloned, and her offspring were sent out to explore the ...

  2. Review: House of Suns. Lurk on any sci-fi book forum and you're bound to come across Alastair Reynolds sooner rather than later. It's not easy to find a good starting point with Reynolds, since his magnum opus, the Revelation Space series, is long and reportedly hit-and-miss in places. 3. House of Suns est le roman que j'attendais d'Alastair Reynolds. Très exactement celui que ses écrits lus me promettaient sans jamais vraiment me le livrer. 4. House of Suns by Alastair Reynolds. This is the first Alastair Reynolds’ book I’ve read not set in his REVELATION SPACE series, and many of his fans claim House of Suns (2008) is his best book. So, quick warning, these are just random disorganized thoughts and my immediate reaction at the end. It will need more mulling-over and the test of time obviously. Obvious Spoilers. — As beautiful as the end is, I feel it ...

  7. From the award-winning author of "The Prefect." Reynolds's brand of space opera continues to be engaging and awe-inspiring. Big-scale ideas; packed with sense of wonder; great world building; backed up by believable science.--"SF Signal."
