Huseyn Shaheed Suhrawardy (Bengali: হোসেন শহীদ সোহ্রাওয়ার্দী; Urdu: حسین شہید سہروردی; 8 September 1892 – 5 December 1963) was a Pakistani Bengali barrister and politician.

19 de feb. de 2022 · Huseyn Shaheed Suhrawardy is buried today in the Mausoleum of the Three Leaders, alongside A.K. Fazlul Haq and Khwaja Nazimuddin. The three are symbolically buried together in honor of their collective efforts for the Bengali people during both the final years of the British Raj and the early years of Pakistan.
Huseyn Shaheed Suhrawardy was a Pakistani Bengali barrister and politician. In Bangladesh, Suhrawardy is remembered as a pioneer of Bengali civil rights movements, later turned into Bangladesh independence movement, and the mentor of Bangladesh's founding leader Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.

The Bengali Suhrawardys are the descendants of the Shiraaji clan of this Suhrawardi dynasty, who migrated from Multan to Bengal in the 15th Century, when Bengal was ruled by the Hussain Shahi dynasty. Much of their early history is evidently synonymous with the history of the Suhrawardiyya order.
