Hohenlohe-Langenburg fue un condado alemán del noreste de Baden-Wurtemberg, Alemania, localizado en los alrededores de Langenburg. Hohenlohe-Neuenstein, una rama protestante de la familia Hohenlohe, fue dividido en Hohenlohe-Langenburg, Hohenlohe-Ingelfingen y Hohenlohe-Kirchberg en 1701.
Ernst Christian Carl zu Hohenlohe-Langenburg studied law at the universities of Tübingen and Heidelberg and joined the Württemberg military service. He represented his father in the Württemberg Assembly of Estates from 1819 until his death in 1825, after which he succeeded him.
Since the 13th century, Schloss Langenburg has been owned by the Hohenlohe princely family and is still the residence of the Prince of Hohenlohe-Langenburg. The castle was extended from 1235 onwards, and the two round towers date from this period.
