Hermann Maximilian Carl Ludwig Friedrich zu Solms-Laubach (1842, Laubach - 1915, Estrasburgo) fue un botánico alemán . Estudió en Friburgo, y se perfeccionó con Heinrich Anton de Bary (1831-1888) y con Alexander Karl Heinrich Braun (1805-1877), llegando a Berlín en 1865. Se gradúa en la Universidad de Halle en 1868.

Sofia de Solms-Laubach (en alemany Sophie von Solms-Laubach) va néixer a Laubach el 15 de maig de 1594 i va morir a Plötzkau el 16 de maig de 1651. Era una noble alemanya, filla del comte Joan Jordi I (1546-1600) i de Margarida de Schonburg-Glauchau (1554-1606). Comtessa de Solms, pel seu casament va esdevenir marcgravina de Brandenburg-Ansbach.
La presente comunicación tiene como objetivo principal indagar en el empleo de la mitología clásica en los sonetos pastoriles de Quevedo. Este corpus textual aparece inserto en una sección poética independiente que el escritor madrileño incluye dentro de su musa VII, Euterpe, dentro de la segunda parte de sus poesías: Las tres musas últimas castellanas (1670).
