Lord Townshend married Lady Anne Elizabeth Clementina Duff, daughter of James Duff, 5th Earl Fife, on 17 October 1865. Their children included: John James Dudley Stuart Townshend, 6th Marquess Townshend (1866–1921) Lady Agnes Elizabeth Audrey Townshend (1870–1955), married James Cunningham-Durham and had issue. Lady Townshend died in 1925.

24 de abr. de 2024 · 19th August 1824. General José Francisco de San Martin y Matorras was a name to be conjured with in Banff early in the nineteenth century. This general became a great friend of James, the 4 th Earl Fife, after they met during the Peninsular Wars in Spain.

His last appearance is c.1128 and was succeeded by Gillemichael, who appears to have held the earldom from about 1128 to about 1136, but whose relationship to Constantine is uncertain.
