  7. 7 de may. de 2024 · James Fitzgerald was born in Bath in 1818, the youngest son of an Irish landowner. He studied at Christ’s College, Cambridge. Following his graduation he spent two years travelling in Scotland and Ireland and became concerned with the poverty he witnessed. In 1844 he joined the British Museum as a junior assistant.
