After all, if Jane (or any other courtier coerced into telling tales of Anne Boleyn and the rest of the accused) had been really maliciously slandering her husband and sister-in-law, she could certainly have fabricated better evidence than the paltry and ridiculous one ...
26 de dic. de 2007 · While Jane Rochford may deserve a defender (and to my knowledge, she's never had one), she may not. And that's again where this book fails. Fox makes the case for Jane's reputation, and could possibly be correct, but fails to prove anything. Any assertions she makes are far from convincing. "Possibly" should be used sparingly in a history book.
