Prince Radziwiłł was born on 3 September 1880 in Berlin in the then German Empire. He was the son of Prince Ferdynand Radziwiłł (1834–1926) and Princess Pelagia Sapieha-Kodenska.

Janusz Radziwiłł was a politician with conservative views. Being one of the leaders of the National Right Wing Party, an associate of Józef Piłsudski (after May 1926), and vice-president of the Nonpartisan Bloc for Cooperation with the Government, he played an important role in the political life of the Second Polish Republic.
