Jason Nelson Robards, Jr. (July 26, 1922 – December 26, 2000) was an American actor. He has won two Academy Awards, a Tony Award, and a Emmy Award. Robards was born in Chicago, Illinois on July 26, 1922. [1] He married to Eleanor Pittman from 1948 to 1958. He married Rachel Taylor from 1959 to 1961. He married Lauren Bacall from 1961 to 1969.
His father, Jason Robards Sr., had been a star of the early 20th-century theater and was playing Chicago in his greatest success, "Lightnin'," when young Jason was born there in the summer of 1922.
