Jean Gordon, Countess of Bothwell (1546 – 14 May 1629) was a wealthy Scottish noblewoman and the second wife of James Hepburn, 4th Earl of Bothwell. He became, after his divorce from Lady Jean, the third husband of Mary, Queen of Scots. Lady Jean herself had a total of three husbands.

Her army had surrendered at Carberry Hill, and she was on her way to imprisonment in Lochleven Castle. Meanwhile, two people were separately making their way north: Jean Gordon, and Jean’s ex-husband Bothwell.
15 de feb. de 2023 · Biography. Jean Gordon was the daughter of Alexander Gordon, 3rd Earl of Huntly and Lady Jean Stewart. She married Colin Campbell, 3rd Earl of Argyll, son of Archibald Campbell, 2nd Earl of Argyll and Lady Elizabeth Stuart, before 28 February 1506/7.

As a result of her marriage, Lady Jean Gordon was styled as Countess of Bothwell on 24 February 1565/66. From 24 February 1565/66, her married name became Hepburn.
