Jelenia Góra ( [jɛˈlɛɲa ˈgura] ⓘ en alemán: Hirschberg im Riesengebirge) es una ciudad de Polonia, con derechos de Powiat, situado en el sudoeste del país. Concretamente en el voivodato (o provincia) de la Baja Silesa. Es la sede administrativa del distrito ( powiat) de Jelenia Góra, aunque no está dentro de él y por sí misma es otro distrito.
Jelenia Góra constitutes a separate urban gmina as well as being the seat of surrounding Karkonosze County (formerly Jelenia Góra County). In 2021 the population of Jelenia Góra was 77,366. [1] The area, including the oldest spa district of Cieplice Śląskie-Zdrój, is one of the most valued recreational and leisure spots in Poland.

Su capital es Jelenia Góra, aunque la ciudad no forma parte de él mantiene su estatus de autonomía. Limita al sur con la República Checa y con otros cuatro distritos de Baja Silesia: al norte con Złotoryja, al este con Jawor y Kamienna Góra y al oeste con Lwówek Śląski.
Jelenia Góra valley is the natural foreland of the Karkonosze Mountains. Many places in the valley offer unparalleled views of the mountains. An outstanding feature of the valley is the large number of country seats and locks, for example Mysłakowice, Staniszów and now to Jelenia Góra or Cieplice Śląskie-Zdrój with park and spa.
Its administrative seat is the city of Jelenia Góra, although this city is not part of the county (it forms a separate city county, which is an enclave within Karkonosze County). There are four towns within the county: Karpacz , Szklarska Poręba , Kowary and Piechowice .
