Jigda-Khatun (Georgian: ჯიგდა-ხათუნი) (died 1252) was a queen consort of Georgia as the first wife of King David VII Ulu. She served as regent during the absence of her spouse.

George was adopted by Jigda-Khatun, who died shortly afterwards. George, along with his father, step-mother, and the uncle David VI Narin , is mentioned in a church inscription from Abelia in the south of Georgia.
Jikur lured him out with the promise of security and had him murdered at the instigation of Jigda-Khatun. Downfall and death. Jikur's fortunes began to reverse after the death of Jigda-Khatun in 1252. The chronicle says that Jikur and David's new consort, Gvantsa Kakhaberidze, were enemies.
11 de jun. de 2020 · Unlike David VII's first wife, the late Jigda-Khatun, Gvantsa was on extremely bad terms with the influential royal favorite Jikur, the Master of Ceremonies (mestumre) of Georgia. Jikur's rivals exploited this enmity and accused him of treason before the king who had him executed by drowning in the Mtkvari River.
