J. gehörte mit seinem Dragonerregiment Chevalier de Saxe zu diesem Hilfskorps. Beim Angriff auf Timoc, den er trotz einer Kopfverletzung durchführte, zeichnete er sich besonders aus. König August III. ernannte J. am 7.9.1738 zum Generalmajor der Kavallerie, am 11.8.1740 folgte die Beförderung zum Generalleutnant der Kavallerie.
Biography. a Saxon Field Marshal and Governor of Dresden. When he was legitimized, his father gave him the title of Chevalier de Saxe. Initially, Johann Georg chose a spiritual path and became a Knight of Malta, but later, like all of August's illegitimate sons, he joined the army, starting at the top (as a general).
