Johann Ludwig Reichsgraf von Wallmoden-Gimborn (22 April 1736 in Hanover – 10 October 1811 in Hanover) was a German lieutenant-general and art collector. Early life. Wallmoden was an illegitimate son of George II of Great Britain by his mistress Amalie von Wallmoden.

Early life and ancestry. Ludwig von Wallmoden-Gimborn, by Ludwig Angerer, 1860. Born into the House of Wallmoden, he was the second son of Johann Ludwig Reichsgraf von Wallmoden-Gimborn (1736–1811) and his first wife, Charlotte Christiane Auguste Wilhelmine von Wangenheim (1740–1783).

Der Reichsgraf von Wallmoden-Gimborn gilt als bedeutender Kunstsammler des ausgehenden 18. Jahrhunderts. Johann Wolfgang von Goethe (1749-1832) erwähnte die Sammlung in seinem Roman Die Leiden des jungen Werthers (1774), Christian Gottlob Heyne beschrieb sie in seinen Vorlesungen.
