John Gordon, 13th Earl of Sutherland (1576–1615) was a Scottish landowner and courtier. He was the son of Alexander Gordon, 12th Earl of Sutherland and Jean Gordon, daughter of George Gordon, 4th Earl of Huntly. He spent two years in France and returned in 1600.

Birth and Parentage
John Gordon, 13th Earl of Sutherland was born on 20 July 1576. He was the son of Alexander Gordon, 12th Earl of Sutherland and Lady Jean Gordon. His mother, Jean, married secondly at Huntly Castle, on 13 December 1573, Alexander Gordon, 12th Earl of Sutherland, thus becoming the Countess of Sutherland. On 5 February 1600 he married Agnes Elphinstone, by whom he had five children, including John Gordon, 14th Earl of Sutherland. He married Agnes Elphinstone, daughter of Alexander Elphinstone, 4th Lord Elphinstone and Jean Livingstone, on 1 February 1600.

He gained the title of 13th Earl of Sutherland.
