John Parke Custis (November 27, 1754 – November 5, 1781) was an American planter and politician, only son of Martha Washington before her marriage to George Washington. He is now known for his progeny, especially those raised by President Washington.

John Parke Custis (known as Jacky when younger, and Jack as he got older) was around four years old when his mother Martha married George Washington. Custis was one of the two surviving children of Martha Washington's first marriage to Daniel Parke Custis.
22 de dic. de 2021 · Custis was a conservative revolutionary and during the early days of the American Revolution criticized several Maryland counties for allowing anyone who bore arms to vote. His dissatisfaction with Virginia’s ineffective conduct of the war eventually moved him to stand for election to the House of Delegates in 1778.

During their seven years of marriage, Martha and Daniel Custis had four children. Daniel Parke Custis II and Frances Parke Custis II both died very young, while John Parke Custis and Martha Parke Custis both survived their father. Daniel Parke Custis fell gravely ill and passed away in July of 1757.
