Arquitecto británico. Nació en Twerton en 1704. Hijo de George Wood, un constructor local. Parece ser que estudió en la Blue Coat School o en la King Edward's School. Conocido sobre todo por ser el autor del balneario de Bath.

John Wood CBE (5 July 1930 – 6 August 2011) was an English actor, known for his performances in Shakespeare and his lasting association with Tom Stoppard. In 1976, he received a Tony Award for Best Actor in a Play for his performance in Stoppard's Travesties .
