John of Görlitz (also known as John of Bohemia and John of Luxembourg; 22 June 1370 – 1 March 1396) was a member of the House of Luxembourg and the only Duke of Görlitz from 1377 until his death.

Elisabeth of Görlitz (November 1390 - 2 August 1451) [1] reigned as Duchess of Luxemburg from 1411 to 1443. Life. Elisabeth was the only daughter and heiress of John of Görlitz, the third son of Charles IV, Holy Roman Emperor. He was Duke of Lusatia and Görlitz, and also Elector of Brandenburg for a brief period.

Elizabeth was the only daughter and heiress of John of Görlitz, the third son of Holy Roman Emperor Charles IV. The Duchy of Luxemburg was mortgaged to her by her uncle King Sigismund of Hungary. She ruled with her husbands Antony, Duke of Brabant (1411-15) and John of Bavaria (1418-25).
Later, in 1319, after the Brandenburg House of Ascania died out, John regained control over the Bautzen region and then the Görlitz region in 1329. In 1322/23, King John became unsettled by Louis's growing power and allied with France and Austria against him.
