Hace 1 día · Juno’s approach to Europa on September 29, 2022, allowed it to snap images from as close as 220 miles above the surface. During this flyby, Juno captured the most detailed images of Europa since the Galileo mission over two decades ago. Through JunoCam’s data, unique surface formations were observed near the equator of Europa.

JunoCam is now showing the effects of that radiation on some of its parts. PJ56 images show a reduction in our dynamic range and an increase in background and noise.
