Politician. Karin Märta Elisabeth Enström (born Landerholm 23 March 1966) is a Swedish politician of the Moderate Party. She has served as Secretary-General of the Moderate Party since October 2022 and has been Member of the Riksdag since the 1998 general election, representing Stockholm County.
Karin Märta Elisabeth Enström, född Landerholm den 23 mars 1966 i Uppsala (Helga Trefaldighet), Uppsala län, [4] är en svensk politiker och yrkesofficer. Hon var statsråd i regeringen Reinfeldt ( försvarsminister 2012–2014) [ 5 ] och är ordinarie riksdagsledamot sedan 1998 , invald för Stockholms läns valkrets .
Ms Enström is Chair of the Swedish Delegation to the NATO Parliamentary Assembly, Chair of the Committee on the Constitution and Deputy Member of the Advisory Council on Foreign Affairs. Between 2012 and 2014, Ms Enström served as the Swedish Minister for Defence.
Karin Enström är Moderaternas partisekreterare. Hon är riksdagsledamot från Vaxholm och blev invald i riksdagen 1998. Hon var försvarsminister 2012-2014, ordförande för riksdagens utrikesutskott 2010-2012 och ordförande i Försvarsberedningen 2008.
