Karl August II of Saxe-Weimar-Eisenach (born Karl August Wilhelm Ernst Friedrich Georg Johann Albrecht von Wettin) is the 5th and current Grand Duke of the Grand Duchy of Saxe-Weimar-Eisenach (officially Grand Duchy of Saxony since 1903, but rarely used), succeeding his father Wilhelm Ernst in 1923. Currently, he is the youngest reigning prince within the German Empire, being only 23 years old.

Karl August, sometimes anglicised as Charles Augustus (3 September 1757 – 14 June 1828), was the sovereign Duke of Saxe-Weimar and of Saxe-Eisenach (in personal union) from 1758, Duke of Saxe-Weimar-Eisenach from its creation (as a political union) in 1809, and grand duke from 1815 until his death.
He was born in Weimar, the eldest son of Karl August of Saxe-Weimar-Eisenach, heir to the Grand Duke, and his wife Princess Pauline of Saxe-Weimar-Eisenach .
