Kathleen Sue Spielberg (née Nail; born November 3, 1953), known professionally as Kate Capshaw, is a retired American actress and painter. She is best known for her portrayal of Willie Scott , an American nightclub singer and performer in Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom (1984), directed by her eventual husband Steven Spielberg .
