3 de may. de 2024 · He died in December 1881, at 1 Gloucester Road, Kensington, and was buried in Kensal Green Cemetery, alongside his brother Henry Burton, and his sister Jessy Burton. Decimus was the last of his siblings to die. Over his grave is a tapering sarcophagus of grey Cornish granite, on a stepped base, with a shallow pyramidal cover.

Hace 5 días · Hancock died Mar. 26, 1865, at age 78, and was buried under a memorial column in Kensal Green Cemetery in London, where he shared the earth with Marc Isambard and Isambard Kingdom Brunel, and would soon be joined by Charles Wheatstone and Charles Babbage. But a golden opportunity to mold a monument in vulcanized rubber was lost.
28 de abr. de 2024 · Kensal Green Cemetery. Built in 1833, this was the first of the Magnificent Seven cemeteries to be established. The Kensal Green Cemetery has been listed as a Grade I structure on the Register of Historic Parks and Gardens in London, and it remains in use to this day.

Designed by architect Benjamin Baud, its purpose extended beyond mere internment, aiming to provide a serene space for reflection and recreation.
