Kent Franklin McWhirter (born September 26, 1942), known by his stage name Kent McCord, is an American retired actor, best known for his role as Officer Jim Reed on the television series Adam-12.

Adam-12 aired for seven seasons from 1968 to 1975, all of which featured McCord alongside actor Martin Milner, as Jim Reed and Pete Malloy, respectively. Milner died in 2015 at age 83.
