Die Christian-Albrechts-Universität zu Kiel ( CAU) ist die einzige Volluniversität in Schleswig-Holstein. Sie wurde 1665 gegründet und ist nach ihrem Gründer, dem Herzog Christian Albrecht von Schleswig-Holstein-Gottorf, benannt. Die Universität ist die älteste, größte und bekannteste Hochschule in Schleswig-Holstein.
