The King's School, Chester, is a co-educational private day school for pupils aged 4 to 18. It is one of the seven 'King's Schools' established (or re-endowed and renamed) by King Henry VIII in 1541 after the Dissolution of the Monasteries. It is situated outside the city of Chester, England.

The King’s School is an independent, academically selective school taking girls and boys from ages 4-18 years old. Entry into Willow Lodge (infants) and Senior School is by assessment day or examination in January for the following September entry.
The King’s School has a proud history which forms the bedrock of the current modern, dynamic school. The School was founded in 1541 by King Henry VIII following the dissolution of St Werburgh’s Abbey, which became Chester Cathedral.
