Lady Helena Gibbs (previously Princess Helena of Teck and Lady Helena Cambridge) was the daughter of Adolphus Cambridge, 1st Marquess of Cambridge and Margaret Cambridge, Marchioness of Cambridge. She was also a niece of Queen Mary and King George V.
Lady Helena married Colonel John Evelyn Gibbs in 1919 and lived in Old Coombe House for many years. Those days are well in the past and the building has since become the property of Fosseway Housing Association and is now divided into flats.
