Lake Forest Academy (also known as LFA) is a co-educational college preparatory school for boarding and day students in grades 9 through 12. The school is located on the North Shore in Lake Forest, Illinois, United States, about 30 miles north of Chicago.

Lake Forest Academy was founded in 1857, and Ferry Hall in 1869. LFA merged with Ferry Hall in 1974 and has been co-educational ever since.
Lake Forest Academy is located on a beautiful 150 acre wooded campus in the northern Chicago suburb of Lake Forest. The campus features academic buildings, residence halls, a gymnasium and ice hockey rink, playing fields and faculty homes.

Lake Forest Academy, founded in 1857, is an independent, coeducational, boarding/day, college preparatory school, grades nine through twelve. Lake Forest Academy strives to embody in its practices and to cultivate in its students excellence of character, scholarship, citizenship, and responsibility.
