Leopold Charles Maurice [1] Stennett Amery CH (22 November 1873 – 16 September 1955), also known as L. S. Amery, was a British Conservative politician and journalist. During his career, he was known for his interest in military preparedness, British India and the British Empire and for his opposition to appeasement.

L.S. Amery (born Nov. 22, 1873, Gorakhpur, India—died Sept. 16, 1955, London, Eng.) was a British politician who was a persistent advocate of imperial preference and tariff reform and did much for colonial territories. He is also remembered for his part in bringing about the fall of the government of Neville Chamberlain in 1940.
