Princess Leonida Georgievna Bagration-Mukhrani was a daughter of Prince George Bagration of Mukhrani and his wife Helena. Her father descended patrilineally from the former reigning family of Georgia. Princess Leonida was married on November 6, 1934 in Nice, France, to Sumner Moore Kirby (1895–1945), a wealthy American.
A member of this branch, Princess Leonida Georgievna Bagration-Moukhransky, married Vladimir Cyrillovich, Grand Duke of Russia, and became the mother of one of the claimants to the Romanov legacy, Maria Vladimirovna, Grand Duchess of Russia.

23 de sept. de 2009 · Leonida Georgievna was born in Tiflis (now Tbilisi), Georgia to Prince Georgiy Alexandrovich Bagration of Mukhrani and Princess Elena Sigismundovna (née Novina-Zlotnicka). The Bagrations claim their descent from Biblical King David. Bagrations (Bagratids) held the position of King Crowners of the ancient Armenian Kings from 150 BC.
