Hrabě Levin (Leontij Leonťjevič) August Theophil von Bennigsen (10. února 1745 v Braunschweigu, dnes Německo – 2. října 1826 v Banteln (okres Alfeld) u Hildesheimu, dnes Německo) byl generál ruské armády německého původu.
Bennigsen was de zoon van kolonel Levin Friedrich von Bennigsen van Brunswijk en zijn echtgenote Henriette Marie von Rauchhaupt. Langs moederszijde was hij achterkleinzoon van maarschalk Hans Adam von Schöning. Hij kreeg thuis kort onderricht en begon al in 1755 als page aan het hof te Hannover. Vier jaar later werd hij vaandrig.

25 de jul. de 2023 · However, the commander-in-chief of the Russian army, the German-born Count Levin August von Bennigsen, soon learned of Napoleon's planned counterattack and moved his army back across the Alle River. The French pursued, and the two armies clashed on 7 February 1807, in the town of Preussisch-Eylau.
Levin August Gottlieb Theophil, Graf von Bennigsen was a German general in the service of the Russian Empire. Bennigsen made a name for himself in Russian history as the man who fought Napoleon Bonaparte with distinction at the Battle of Eylau; but, suffering from ill-health, he was then defeated at Friedland several months later.
