Levin August Gottlieb Theophil , comte von Bennigsen, né le 10 février 1745 à Brunswick dans la principauté de Brunswick-Wolfenbüttel et mort le 3 décembre 1826 à Banteln dans le royaume de Hanovre, était un officier allemand qui fut général russe pendant les guerres napoléoniennes.

BENNIGSEN, LEVIN AUGUST, Count von (1745–1826), Russian general, of Hanoverian family, was born on the 10th of February 1745 in Brunswick, and served successively as a page at the Hanoverian court and as an officer of foot-guards. He retired from the Hanoverian army in 1764, and in 1773 entered the Russian service as a field officer.
