The Linacre Anthropology Scholarship was jointly created by a group of supportive Linacre alumni and friends of College. Renamed Linacre College in 1965, the graduate community moved to a new site at Cherwell Edge on St Cross Road. This was opened in 1977 by the Chancellor of the University, Harold Macmillan. Linacre was the first college at the University of Oxford for both sexes and for all subjects, and was granted a royal charter in August 1986.

If offered a place at Linacre College, all applicants will be required to complete a Financial Declaration form before an unconditional offer can be made. The Financial Declaration will be emailed to you by the College, and will consist of a breakdown of your course fees and predicted costs for the first-year of your studies.
