Jänner 2023) [1] nach der Landeshauptstadt Linz die zweitgrößte Stadt des Bundeslandes Oberösterreich und belegt auf der Liste der Städte Österreichs den achten Platz.
Der Mariendom (Neuer Dom) Linz. Nicht die höchste, jedoch die größte Kirche Österreichs ist der Linzer Mariendom (Mariä-Empfängnis-Dom). Die auch "Neuer Dom" genannte Kirche, die sich an der Herrenstraße befindet, ist aus dem Linzer Stadtbild nicht mehr wegzudenken.
