The historical St Jude's Church was originally designed by Sophia Gray, wife of Bishop Robert Gray and completed in 1863. The building is closely linked with the history of Oudtshoorn and of the Anglican Church in South Africa.

It is approximately 340 kilometers away from Bangalore and 377 kilometers away from Hyderabad. The historical and architectural significant site is steeped in the remnants of Vijayanagar.
