Dafydd ap Llywelyn ( c. March 1212 – 25 February 1246) was Prince of Gwynedd from 1240 to 1246. Birth and descent. Though birth years of 1208, 1206, and 1215 have been put forward for Dafydd, it has recently been persuasively argued that he was born shortly after Easter 1212 [citation needed].
Llywelyn ap Dafydd (c.1267–1287), potential claimant to the title Prince of Gwynedd, was the eldest son of Dafydd ap Gruffydd, the last free ruler of Gwynedd, and his wife Elizabeth Ferrers. Nothing is known of his early life, though it is thought he was probably born some time around 1267.

Dafydd Llywelyn was elected in to his second term of office as the PCC for Dyfed-Powys Police during the May 2021 elections. Dafydd is a former Principal Intelligence Analyst and worked within Police Intelligence for many years before, in 2014, moving to Aberystwyth University to lecture on Criminology.

12 de jun. de 2023 · Background. At the beginning of the 13th century, Llywelyn ap Iorwerth, King of Gwynedd in North Wales, married an illegitimate daughter of King John. By 1210, relations were worsening, and in 1215, Llywelyn sided with the barons that forced Magna Carta on John.
Llywelyn ap Gruffudd (c. 1223 – 11 December 1282), Llywelyn II, also known as Llywelyn the Last ( Welsh: Llywelyn Ein Llyw Olaf, lit. 'Llywelyn, Our Last Leader'), was the prince of Gwynedd, and later was recognised as the prince of Wales (Latin: Princeps Walliae; Welsh: Tywysog Cymru) from 1258 until his death at Cilmeri in 1282.
