Charles Augustus FitzRoy (nephew) Admiral Lord William FitzRoy KCB (1 June 1782 – 13 May 1857), was an officer of the British Royal Navy who served during the French Revolutionary and Napoleonic Wars, and also as a Member of Parliament.

In addition to being the only son of Lord Charles FitzRoy, he was grandson of Augustus Henry FitzRoy – the 3rd Duke of Grafton and, for a short time, the Prime Minister of Great Britain (1768 to 1770). FitzRoy was educated at Harrow and joined the Royal Horse Guards at the age of 16.
