Lord George Lennox. General Lord George Henry Lennox (29 November 1737 – 25 March 1805) was a British Army officer and politician who sat in the House of Commons from 1761 to 1790. Early life. He was the second son of Charles Lennox, 2nd Duke of Richmond, and was a great-grandson of King Charles II of England.
The Lennox sisters had two brothers who lived to adulthood, Charles Lennox, 3rd Duke of Richmond (1735–1806), and Lord George Lennox (1737–1805), as well as two others who died in infancy. He and his eldest brother took an active part in the drama of the 18th June, whilst the duke, his father, and Lord Wm. Pitt Lennox, his younger brother, were spectators of a battle in which they were unable to play a more active part.
