He was the son of Roger Hector de Pardaillan de Gondrin, marquis of Antin, and of Marie-Christine Zamet. In February 1663 he married Françoise Athénaïs de Rochechouart de Mortemart. They had two children :-1. Marie-Christine de Pardaillan de Gondrin (1663-1675),-2. Louis Antoine de Pardaillan de Gondrin (1665-1736), the future duke of Antin.

Louis Antoine de Pardaillan, Duke of Antin was Marquis of Antin, Gondrin and of Montespan , then 1st Duke of Antin was a French nobleman. He was painted by Rigaud.
Having inherited as marquis de Montespan, Gondrin and Mézieres on the death of his father in 1701, he was created duc d'Antin in 1711. He subsequently played an important role as French ambassador in 1725 when he, on behalf of Louis XV, asked for the hand of Marie Leczynska, daughter of the King of Poland.
Louis-Antoine de Pardaillan de Gondrin, only son of Madame de Montespan and her husband. He was released with strict orders to stay away from court and to remain on his country estate. Surprisingly, there was only little protest from his side, thus rumours spread that Louis XIV had given Monsieur de Montespan a large sum of money.
