When Mór Ní Tuathail was born in 1114, in Castledermot, County Kildare, Ireland, her father, Muitchertach Ua Tuathail King of Uí Muiredaig, was 35 and her mother, Cacht Ní Morda, was 25. She married Diarmait Mac Murchada in 1140, in Lough, County Wexford, Ireland.
