Hace 2 días · The poems were discovered by Simon Horobin, a professor of English language and literature at Magdalen College, Oxford, where Lewis himself taught. He said: “These were unknown until I found them in Lewis’s copy of Wyld’s A Short History of English. There’s another one [a seventh poem] which I identified in a second book by Wyld.”
Magdalen College (15) Magdalen College stands on the N. side of High Street, immediately W. of the river Cherwell. The walls are of local Oxfordshire stone and the roofs are covered with slates and lead. The college was founded in 1458 by William of Waynflete, Bishop of Winchester.
