Auf dem Festival werden hauptsächlich Werke junger Nachwuchsregisseure gezeigt. Weiterhin finden die Filmtage des Mittelmeeres und das Kurzfilmfestival Zum Goldenen Hirsch, bei dem ausschließlich Filmproduktionen aus der Metropolregion Rhein-Neckar zu sehen sind, statt.
