In April 1509, the King died. He was just past 52 while Margaret herself was 65. At the King’s funeral in May 1509, largely arranged by Margaret, she took precedence over all the ladies present. She was also the chief executor of his will. Following the coronation, Margaret moved to lodgings at Westminster.
