  3. Margaret Mercer Elphinstone, Baroness Keith and Nairne, countess of Flahault by marriage, was the only daughter of George Elphinstone, 1st Viscount Keith, and his first wife Jane Mercer. She was born in Mayfair on 12 June 1788. She married Charles Joseph, comte de Flahault on 20 June 1817 at Edinburgh.
