  6. 1 de jun. de 2001 · After a series of small roles, Matzenauer began to undertake the heavier roles of Ortrude, Azucena, Carmen, and Erda. In 1904 she joined the Munich Court Opera, remaining there until 1911. During this time she not only made guest appearances at Vienna, Hamburg, Stuttgart, and elsewhere, but also began to study dramatic soprano roles, smartly trying them out in the smaller European houses.
