Enrique Tudor nació el 28 de enero de 1457 en Pembroke Castle, Gales. Familia Su padre fue Edmundo Tudor, conde de Richmond (c. 1430-1456), y su madre, Margarita Beaufort, condesa de Richmond y Derby (descendiente directa de Juan de Gante, duque de Lancaster).
El matrimonio entre María Tudor y Luis XII duró solo tres meses. Cuenta la leyenda que el monarca murió por el excesivo esfuerzo en el dormitorio, aunque, al parecer, seguramente fuera fruto de la enfermedad de la gota. In 1503 she married James IV, King of Scots, thus becoming the mother of James V and grandmother of Mary, Queen of Scots.
On 8 August 1503 Princess Margaret Tudor of England married King James IV of Scotland in Holyrood Abbey, becoming Queen of Scots and providing the Scottish throne with an heir, King James V. She would marry twice more before her death in 1541 and, like her ill-fated granddaughter Mary, Queen of Scots, Margaret’s choice of husband threatened her status as queen.
