Margaret Wentworth, also known as Margery Wentworth, was a prominent figure in English nobility as the mother of Queen Jane Seymour and grandmother of King Edward VI. When Margery Despenser was born in 1397, in Nettlestead, Suffolk, England, her father, Philip Le Despenser 2nd Baron le Despenser, was 32 and her mother, Elizabeth Tiptoft, was 26. She married Sir John de Ros Knt. after 13 September 1404. She died on 20 April 1478, in her hometown, at the age of 81.
