19 de mar. de 2024 · A year before, in 1719, Bach by chance had met Christian Ludwig, who was the margrave (municipal ruler) of Brandenburg-Schwedt as well as the uncle of King Fredrick-William I of Prussia. At that meeting, Ludwig expressed interest in making Bach his kapellmeister, and asked him to submit a musical portfolio for review.
