Princess Marie Eleonore of Albania, Princess of Wied (Marie Eleonore Elisabeth Cecilie Mathilde Lucie Prinzessin von Wied; 19 February 1909 – 29 September 1956) was the only daughter of William, Prince of Albania and his wife Princess Sophie of Schönburg-Waldenburg.

29 de abr. de 2020 · But there is another royal story that is far less famous but equally tragic and sad; the one of the German Princess, Marie Eleonore of Albania. Born on 19 February 1909 in the city of Postdam, she was the only daughter of William, Prince of Albania (born Prince William of Wied) and his wife Princess Sophie of Schönburg-Waldenburg.
Born into the mediatised house of Wied-Neuwied, he was the third son of William, 5th Prince of Wied (brother of Queen Elisabeth of Romania), and his wife Princess Marie of the Netherlands (sister of Queen Louise of Sweden). He was second cousin of Wilhelm II, German Emperor.
Prinzessin Marie Eleanore zu Wied, Princess of Albania, was the daughter of Wilhelm Friedrich Heinrich, Prinz zu Wied, Prince of Albania, r. 1914-1914, and his wife, Prinzessin Sophie von Schönburg-Waldenburg.
After the war, Wied lived with his wife and two children, Marie Eleonore of Wied (1909-1956) and Karl Viktor, Prince of Wied (1913-1973), in Tyrol and then in Munich. In 1925, he moved with his family to Romania where he died in 1945.
